UNIVERSITI SAINS MALAYSIA

University Sains Malaysia (USM), established in 1969 is among the top Universities in the World and has been a pioneer in providing and promoting higher education in fields of applied sciences, medical and health sciences, pharmaceutical science and research. USM has well established research centers and units as its key element of academic excellence.

USM main campus is located within a tropical island of Penang, Malaysia with a land area of 591.72 acres (240.13 hectares). There are two USM branch campuses, one at Kubang Kerian in Kelantan (approximately 300km from the main campus) known as Health Campus and the other at Nibong Tebal (approximately 50km from the main campus), known as Engineering Campus.

INSTITUTE OF CLINICAL RESEARCH

The Institute of Clinical Research (ICR) is one of the world's premier organisations for professionals involved in the design, management and conduct of human clinical trials. Members are engaged in all aspects of work in clinical research, both directly and in the support services. The Institute was founded in 1978 as ACRPI (The Association of Clinical Research for the Pharmaceutical Industry). In 2000 it changed its status to become The Institute of Clinical Research.

ICR is a not-for-profit organisation, guided by a Board of Directors who are elected by the membership and is based at its Head Office in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire, UK. Several faculty members at the James Lind Institute are members of this prestigious organization.

CLINICAL RESEARCH SOCIETY (CRS)

Clinical Research Society (CRS) is a registered, non-profit, independent membership organisation. CRS is the primary resource for clinical and translational medicine providing leadership for ethical and meaningful innovations that leads to betterment of mankind. Clinical Research Society provides an interdisciplinary platform for professionals working in contract research, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries, and those in hospital, medical research institutes and physician clinics. CRS is comprised of a community of more than 23,000 professionals in over 160 countries dedicated to drug/device development and healthcare.
