Business Development Executive / Manager

The main objective of a business development executive or manager is to look after the global operations of the company. They are responsible for negotiating business deals, drafting contracts, and bringing clinical trial related business to the company. They maintain key interactions with sponsor(s) and are sometimes involved in making public relations with clinician's who would serve as potential investigators. The business development manager is responsible for coordinating and managing various activities associated with clinical trial initiation and planning which includes clinical trial budget and agreement review. The major responsibility of business development executive/ manager is to sell his/her organizations clinical research services in all major areas of clinical research to bring in more revenues to the company. Responsibilities of business development executives include:

  • Facilitate and develop, as may be necessary, external contacts for market research activities, including consultants, customers, academic contacts and parties engaged in related activities
  • Create marketing tools and prepare proposals which meet clients requirement and follow up with them
  • Develop analytical strategy to determine financial attractiveness of opportunities
  • Responsible to prepare and maintain business reports and to represent the company at external conferences

    - Bachelor’s or Master's degree in marketing, management or a business related field
    - Training in marketing, sales, IT and computer programming
    - Should be conceptually strong in sales management techniques & in marketing management
